Package build rejected

Asked by Edgard Pineda

Hi,

I'm trying to compile the new openoffice.org version in karmic, but after a successfully uploaded packages I get an e-mail with the following message:

"
Rejected:
openoffice.org_3.2.0-4~epineda1~karmic1.dsc: format '3.0 (quilt)' is not permitted in karmic.
"

What is "3.0 quilt" format? any hint?

My ppa is: https://launchpad.net/~edgard-pineda/+archive/ppa

Thank you for any help!

Regards,
Edgard Pineda.

Hi,

Quilt is a new-ish package format, but it's only valid in karmic and higher because the dpkg support for it only starts in that release.

This page might be useful:

Thank you.

I see more detail information on package formats, executing a "man dpkg-source".

Finally I hacked the debian/rules file to "downgrade" to 1.0 format version.

Now I'm uploading the new sources for compiling... and hopefully it works.
