Delete project "viewmail"

Asked by Ulrich Müller

Please delete the https://launchpad.net/viewmail project.
Would it be possible that "viewmail" redirects to our new project page "vm"?

Rationale:
The maintainer of the "viewmail" project, Robert Widhopf-Fenk (hack-robf) had been inactive and we could not reach him for more than one year. In order not to be completely stuck with development we have created the new "vm" project. Meanwhile Robert reappeared and has transferred also the viewmail project to our team. Therefore we have two project pages now.

It would be nice if we could get rid of the old "viewmail" page (or even better have it redirect to "vm" if that's possible) because it's confusing for users, and all active development is at "vm". Robert is o.k. with this, the following is from his e-mail message:

I have deleted the project as you asked. I don't think we can redirect viewmail to vm.

Thank you.

One more question, is it possible to remove the defunct "viewmail" project from the affected projects in our bugs? (For example, <https://bugs.launchpad.net/vm/+bug/412670>, but there are several others.)

We cannot change the bug data, but I has assigned this issue to an admin who can add an alias to vm so that any link to viewmail will go to vm instead.

I have taken care of this. /viewmail not points to /vm.
