request for apponting new Basque Launchpad Translators Team

Asked by Oier Mees

Hello,
we have created a new Basque Launchpad Team at https://launchpad.net/~lp-l10n-eu and we would like to be officially appointed in order to contribute to the community.
It seems that the first request, were we tried to contact the Launchpad Translations Coordinators team through the https://launchpad.net/~launchpad-translations-coordinators/+contactuser link, got lost. So we are renewing the request using the answers system as suggested by David Planella.
Regards,
Oier

Thanks Oier,

* The team has got guidelines
* A communication channel (mailing list)
* The team in Launchpad is moderated

I've exchanged a couple of e-mails with Oier, and he's been very responsive and eager to fulfill the requirements to get into launchpad-translators, thus I've appointed the Basque Launchpad translators as responsible for Basque translations in the Launchpad Translators group. Welcome!

Oier, just some final comments:

* I'd like to ask that at least you or the coordinator of the team (if it's not you) subscribe to https://launchpad.net/~launchpad-translators. That's the list for all announcements and discussions regarding the translatable applications in Launchpad, and it is very useful in staying up to date. Subscribing is just a matter of joining the team in Launchpad.

* Once you are subscribed, could you please make an announcement on the list, explaining that the team has been created? Thanks.

* At some point, you might want to expand the information in https://help.launchpad.net/Translations/GuidesList/Basque and include some more information. You could for example take https://help.launchpad.net/Translations/Guide as a basis. You might also want to have separate pages for the translation guidelines and for the page with information of the purpose of the team, how to join, etc.
