reclaim democracyplayer project

Asked by Will Guaraldi Kahn-Greene

I work for Participatory Culture Foundation on the Miro project. We use Launchpad for translations, but I'd like to use it for more going forward.

First, there seem to be two Participatory Culture Foundation things in Launchpad. One is a team https://launchpad.net/~pcf and the other is something else https://launchpad.net/pculture. The team one is fine. The something else one (https://launchpad.net/pculture) should get removed and everything it has should be assigned to the team one (https://launchpad.net/~pcf).

Second, the maintainer listed is Registry Maintainers. Can you hand this project off to the PCF team?

Sorry to be such a nuisance, but I'm trying to straighten everything out to make it easier to use more effectively going forward.

Thank you!

I do not understand your request. I see a team (/~pcf) and a project group (/pculture). You should talk to the owner of the project group (/~oppy) if you want him to change his project. I see /~oppy is an admin of the ~pcf team, so I think you can settle this yoruselves.

A team is nothing but people. A project group is a collection of projects that contain work, such code and translations. The work of a project cannot be transfered to a team, but a team can be the owner of the project/

I made the ~pcf team the owners of the /democracy

I don't understand what a "project group" is or why it's got the same name as the team. Seems pretty confusing.

However, "oppy" is no longer around and that email address is a pculture.org email address which points to nothing. I can't contact him and ask him to transfer ownership of the project group. Can you make me the owner of the project group and the admin of the ~pcf team?

I assigne the question to an admin who can change the owner of the project group to your team, and can make you the owner of the team. This will also give you ownership of the many "miro" named projects.

I think that's perfect. Thank you!

Hi,

1. project group ownership changed
2. I've made you an admin of the team; not owner. That should give enough power to do what's needed from there.

Cheers!
- Steve
