Private mailinglist arhive for Ubuntu Romanian Forum

Asked by Adi Roiban on 2010-02-13

Hi,

It is possible to have a private mailinglist arhive for a Launchpad team?

We would like to use Launchpad mailing lists for managing the Ubuntu Romanian Forum and it needs to be private.

Right now, the arhive is public.

https://edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-ro-forum

If this is not posible, we would like to have the archive deleted from Launchpad and we will move the list to another server.

Kindest regards,
Adi Roiban

public teams cannot have a private mailing lists. You can remove the mailing list by deactivating it, then purging it a few minutes later.

I have deactivated the mailinglist, but I can not see the „Purge button”.

I have the same problem with the Launchpad mailing list for Ubuntu Romanian Translators (https://edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-l10n-ro). It was deactivated many months ago, but I can not find the purge button.

Can you please delete the archives for both mailinglists (ubuntu-ro-forum and ubuntu-l10n-ro).

Many thanks!

The purge option can take many minutes to appear because the deactivation state takes many minutes to sync across servers.

Hi Curtis,

I still don't see the Purge option.

Also https://help.launchpad.net/Teams/MailingLists tell me that I have to open a question and ask for an admin to purge the mailinglist.

Should I assign this ticket to LOSAs ?

Thanks!

I think you are the victim of morons who create UI. I see a (+) Create mailing list link on your team page. I followe the link to
https://edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-ro-forum/+mailinglist and I has a purge action.
