Yup, if I turn on that "hide email address" option, my email address is still mailed out with the bug comments, at least to me.
I didn't realise there was a "conceal your identity" option in LP when I filed this bug. If the "mail out my comments using my name and address" feature can be made to respect these "use my display name, hide my email address" then my problems with the functionality would be gone.
