I appreciate your point (indeed I went down the route of just hiding
email addresses for all cases initially, which is what wgrant objected
to). The reason it looks like we're going to go down the route of only
using the bug address for cases where the user doesn't have a
preferred email address or has marked their address private is that
there's more of support for that approach on the launchpad-dev thread
(I'm ambivalent about it myself, which is why I took it to the list).
