Yeah, that's possible but I think that the email solution is not a good one unless you want to get lot of spam :-)

What about a page where you, as the upstream author get the list of .po files that changed?

Also, the other way to compare two .po files is looking into the header, it has an entry that Rosetta should update with every export that tells you when was the last time that .po file was updated.

Please, add anything you think is useful to you as an upstream maintainer to http://www.ubuntulinux.org/wiki/RosettaWishList or as a bug report here and if we think is something that we can implement we will add it into our todo list and will implement it as soon as possible.
