Please update launchpad-buildd

AFAICS launchpad-buildd is based on ubuntu 8.04 which will reach EOL on 2013.

Do you plan to update it?

and second question, how the update will give benefits to our builds?

I mean I have a bug in applying a patch when building from automatic recipes, and I have not this bug when building and "dput"ting the file manually...
Maybe with an update this bug will be fixed, but I don't know how an update will affect the builds because AFAIK everything is built in a chroot environment, so maybe just a chroot update is needed

hi later on 8.04 will be upgraded to 12.04 just not currently happening at present.

This is being done by migrating the PPA builders to an OpenStack-based system, which should hopefully also improve on some of our current reliability problems; but this is a fairly substantial project and it's taking a while.
