On which port does the Landscape client communicate with the Landscape service?

Asked by Mike Williams

I need to know on which port/socket the Landscape client communicates with the landscape service. It appears to be port 80 but I just need confirmation. Thank you.

Hello Mike,

landscape-client needs to be able to make outbound TCP connections to the Landscape server to port 80 and port 443.

Does the landscape server make request _to_ the landscape client? If so, on which port(s)?

Hi Bruce,

No...the Landscape Server never initiates communication to the Landscape client.
