Can REAPER ( http://www.landoleet.org/dev/ ) please be compiled for KXStudio?

Asked by hamish on 2011-08-10

I am writing to you from my KXStudio. KXStudio is my second linux after trying Ubuntu studio.

I am using only the desktop and office apps. I have played with the audio apps, and like the bristol synths best so far.

I find Rosegarden is the best synth host, but it is a long way behind REAPER

I have a REAPER licence, and while REAPER runs ok under wine on my laptop I would love to be able to have my REAPER running native linux.

The build at www.landoleet.org/dev/ is called reaper_40beta12_developer, which I assume is code.

Is it in the interests of KXStudio to provide binaries for REAPER (please forgive my ignorance if this is not the situation)

I am mainly writing this as the REAPER demo was included in the KXStudio .iso that I downloaded.

Reagards,
Hamish

that REAPER version is not finished, and doesn't even work right (no sound!)

so, for now, it's useless.
