Asked by elneilios on 2011-03-23

I'm interested in moving from a Windows OS to a Linux distro for my audio production needs. I'm the producer of easy listening/ambient electronica and after some research I've found that KXStudio seems to be exactly what I'm looking for. I was hoping to browse the project home page to gather some more details but noticed that the site at http://kxstudio.sourceforge.net returns "This webpage is current being worked on, please check again in a few days." Will the page be back up soon?

Ok thanks very much for the reply. I look forward to seeing the new site, I'm quite excited to start using KXStudio, I'm hoping it won't be too difficult to setup and start working as I'm a Linux Virgin :)

I've had the same question a few weeks ago, and decided to wait. Now I run into KXStrudio again, and the webpage is unchanged.

I'm sorry, but if you're aiming to be trusted as a Linux distro, you can't afford to take the webpage down for weeks (or months, isn't it?). A distro has complete control over what executables a user runs on their desktop -- which is a great responsibility.

Unless you've pretty much lost interest and faith in your project, there's no reason why you couldn't put up a simple page -- even one that briefly mentions the download site, mailing list, issue tracker, and the team.
