Pulse-Jack

Asked by Errico Picchiarelli on 2010-06-09

Hi Falk,
i'va a problem that i don't know if it's a bug or something.
Via pulse-jack some sites like youtube works like a charm, but many in many other sites flash player is really slow, and you really can't go in this sites to see videos, also the sound is jerky.
If you want try go to this site:
video.corriere.it is one of biggest newspaper in italy.
If you try, the first video you see is slow but decent, from second video become really slow.
I check cpu during the video but is about 50-60% like for other sites like youtube.
If i disable pulse and jack via
kxstudio-session-start --stop all is ok in all sites.

Can you help me with this problem?

Regards, Munny

pulse and jack are supposed to work at login, without any issues.

I'll need more information from you:

1 - kernel/arch ("uname -a")
2 - which browser do you use?
3 - are you in the "audio" and "pulse" group?

2 - Chromium: 6.0.428.0 (49136) Ubuntu - Firefox: 3.6.3 With Firefox, video seems a little better but always slow

3 - I'm in the audio and pulse groups

well, i have the same problem.

I'm not sure why this happens though...
Maybe because of flash being 32bit?

I have to investigate this further
