Kopete

Kopete won't install

My computer crashed and I had to re-install Ubuntu, but now Kopete won't re-install. I get this error message every time I try and install it.

Kopete cannot be installed on your computer type (i386)

Either the application requires special hardware features or the vendor decided to not support your computer type.

Why would it install before but not now?

Are you using Gutsy or Hardy?
Are you trying to install the KDE 3 or KDE 4 version of Kopete?
What program did you use to install Kopete?

ALL OF A SUDDEN KOPETE IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY, IT SHOWS ALL THE FEATURES, BUT WHEN I TRY TO COMMUNICATE WITH ANOTHER PERSON IT SENDS ME A SOUND AND THE KOPETE ICON, TURNS AND MY MESSAGE SHOWS ON THE SCREEN AS IF WAS NOT SEND, HHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPP ME PLS.
