still active?

Asked by Dereck Haskins

I noticed the update in Feb. I'm looking for a PHP web framework and I'd prefer one that has something in common with Struts. Searching around I found Kolibri. You seem to be the only active PHP-based Struts clone.

Are you guys indeed active? If so, do you accept patches should I start using the software?

Thanks,
Dereck

Hi Dereck,

Thanks for your interest in Kolibri, we are definitely active. Kolibri is still very much our small company's own webapp framework, which is used on several of our client projects as well as our main SaaS product. This means we mostly improve Kolibri while working on the projects using it, which is why it might seem like development is slow. But it also means it's a quite stable framework. We do have a few major features we'd like to develop, and some like proper i18n will probably be done later this year for one of our client projects.

We would very much welcome you to start using Kolibri and provide suggestions or patches for improving Kolibri to the benefit of us all. We haven't done much to promote or spread the word about Kolibri, and as such there's not much of a community outside ourselves (that we know of), so do join us and spread the word if you'd like.
