Installing KMyMoney from source for HBCI support

Asked by robra

From searching on mailing lists archives, I understand there's some licensing issues going on that forbid a binary package of KMyMoney2, compiled with libAqBanking for HBCI support to be distributed. Apparently there's no problem compiling it for one's own use.

In the source package of KMyMoney2-0.8.8, there is an instruction in kmymoney2-0.8.8/debian/README.Debian stating that in order to enable HBCI support, the package should be installed from source ( apt-get -b source kmymoney2 ). This worked for me once in the past (with Feisty?) but it doesn't work for me anymore (I'm now on Hardy).

Does anyone know what's changed and how to perform this trick now?

Thanks!

Roel.

You should compile from source without --enable-qbanking option. That should get you going. As far as I can tell, there have been no changes from 0.8.8 to 0.8.9 regarding the plugin.

Can you help with this problem?
