Printing or exporting does not hide items

Asked by rtek1000

I use monochrome printer and was used to layouts on ISIS Proteus and ExpressPCB.

I am trying to use Kicad, but I cannot hide hidden items when exporting the graphics area or even printing.

When exporting, when I set the item colors to appear black (visible) or white (hidden), the white character of the hidden item overlaps the black item and the black item continues to fail.

During printing, hidden items (white) are shown in black and overlapping items make items unrecognizable.

Kicad Version 5.1.4

You should not try to hide items by making them white. We don't make B/W printouts image exact, we try to make them legible.

If you would like to print without showing an item, you will need to deselect they appropriate layer in the print menu.

I noticed they were just a few components, so I edited them and deleted everything that was hidden. Like DS3232 GND pin, GND reference marker, + 3V3 reference marker etc.
