v5.1.4 eeschema arrows keys move symbol farther than previously

I looked through the Preferences and Grid Settings to try to fix this...
...but something in KiCad 5.1.4 changed where:

...moving a symbol (in eeschema) via the arrow keys moves the part further than before...

- If I zoom in very close, the arrow keys DO move the symbol as I intend (that is: one grid "space").
  - *although* an arrow left or right moves ONE grid space horizontally, and arrows up and down move TWO grid spaces vertically...

- The distance a symbol moves with the arrow keys is dependent on the current zoom level?

For clarification:
I can move things one grid space with the mouse of course, just the keyboard functionality seems to be different.

Any word on this? I tried finding information about this behavior but couldn't come up with anything.
