Freeze opening schematic and/or PCB

I created a project in KiCad and used some schematics and footprints I got from Snapeda. Now if I try to open any of my projects, KiCad will hang until I force it to close. If I remove the custom schematics entirely KiCad starts just fine. I thought perhaps it was just a corrupted file, so I tried with a different schematic and had the same problem. I can provide the project and schematics/footprints if needed. My support information is below:

The "Answers" section is not closely followed and most people who could help you with this issue will not see the question.

When you create the bug report, please attach the file that is causing issues.
