Why can't Pcbnew silkscreen layer display Chinese?

Why does Pcbnew silkscreen layer not display Chinese, can the silkscreen layer display language texts from different countries?
The silk screen on China PCB sometimes displays some Chinese comments or Chinese LOGO. It is difficult to promote Chinese input or display Chinese, and even in other countries.

Is there any good advice for multi-language display on the silkscreen layer via the python plugin? Or is there any demo that can be referenced?

We are looking at implementing system fonts during v6, which may address this question.
