Download Mirrors

Asked by Matt Rohloff

I see that Digi-Key has offered to provide a download mirror.
https://lists.launchpad.net/kicad-developers/msg39285.html

My typical download (USA) runs around 10MB/s, whereas the nightly's (Switzerland, I presume) are coming in around 440kB/s.

Gone are the days of the 28.8kbps modem (and I suppose my patience too). I've been spoiled. :(

It would be *really* nice if KiCad moves forward with this offer and I'd hate to see this fall through the cracks.
As Wayne said, the downloads aren't getting any smaller!
Thank you for listening.

Matt

I would have thought the CERN servers would have been faster. Their data pipeline is not trivial. I haven't heard back from Digi-Key yet but I suspect they are working on it. I will ping them when I get a chance to see if they are making any headway.

Can you help with this problem?
