Curved traces

I'm an artist / engineer who uses KiCad to make functional circuit boards, but aesthetics are important to me. Curved traces would be an excellent feature - or if not curved, then the option to control trace geometry like a 2d polygon (similar to the fill feature, but more user-friendly).

I understand that there is complexity to implement curves in the Gerber file format. One possible work around would be to use very short line segments... so that the curves are not technically splines, but appear like a curve to a human and like a sequence of short line segments to Gerber.
