pcbnew: Intention of the CrtYd layers, DRC overlap of parts

What is the intention of the F.CrtYd and B.CrtYd layers?
Will they be used for DRC to avoid an overlap of parts?
Are there any techniques in KiCad:pcbnew to get a warning or error from DRC if two parts overlap each other?
