Footprint thermal pad

Hi,

I'm using kicad 4.1.0-alpha+201608040717+7005 in linux mint.

I'm making a new component footprint like d2pack. On the big pad i to put via's to make better thermal.
Is possible do? Where can find information/video to explain how to make.

You can add plated through hole pads the heat sink pad. Just give them the same pin number as the heat sink pad and Pcbnew will interpret this as a single complex pad.
