PCB footprint editor

Asked by Jorge Neiva

I'm using kicad v0.201509261831+6224 in linux mint.

I like to know if it's possible create a "zone restriction" on footprint editor.
I'm asking because i'm trying make a footprint for an antenna. In 3 pins need a big clearance around it.

The antenna is the following:

Thanks

Sorry for my english.

Adding zones to footprints is not supported in the footprint editor. This feature has been discussed before and certainly is something worth considering. You will have to add the keep out zone in the board editor after you place the footprint.

Hi,

It's useful when you are making footprint of sensible components like antenna.

Thanks for the answer.
