http://kicad.nosoftware.cz/ dead, nightlies for windows (Atlassian Bamboo?)

Asked by TomCC

Hi!

http://www.kicad-pcb.org/display/KICAD/Download has links to "Milan Horák's KiCad snapshot packages: http://kicad.nosoftware.cz/". At least temporarily, the site's hosting has pulled the plug on him (Perhaps the binaries found more use than he was expecting? *nudge nudge wink wink*).

How are things coming with the nightlies for other platforms than SUSE? I see that you have a free Atlassian licence, does this include Bamboo and can this be used?

I'm currently holding off on some bug reports as I want to be sure they're not already fixed in the newest version. However, it would really help if some basically sound binaries were available (I've had no success with KiCAD winbuilder, at least about a month ago, meaning I couldn't really see actual bugs for the stuff introduced by a bad build).

Hi TomCC

The site you mention is up at the time of writing this.

There exists a PPA providing nightlies for ubuntu. It is known that Adam Wolf is working hard on packaging for OSX, so when he is happy with his work, I think he is willing to provide OSX nightlies.

Also recently Wayne has been making sure that kicad works with mysys2. I am not sure if that is a means of providing nightlies. I have not tested it.

Can you help with this problem?
