How to get a current version of KiCad for OS X

Asked by BambiB

The pre-built version for OS X is two years old. I tried to download source, but it wasn't clear which version is considered "stable". The lp:~baranovskiykonstantin/kicad/new_icons branch (5140 commit) is only a few days old and marked "mature", but when i tried to download it using the suggested method (bzr branch lp:~baranovskiykonstantin/kicad/new_icons), I got a "Bad owner or permissions" error on the .ssh/config folder (whose permissions are set at 775).

Suggestions on how to proceed? I'm not familiar with Bazaar and was hoping to do an updated install without having to learn YACMS. Any chance that two years is long enough to justify a build for OS X?

Thanks.

AFAIK the latest stable version is 4029. Just check it out and build it, it worked for me on Yosemite.

Can you help with this problem?
