3D view single materil had many color
Hi
3D viewer was very improved from this year, but a problem occur by my created model, form last month to BZR 5110 .
Why a 3d model which assigned single material has many colors ?
The TO264 Transistor model which has some divide lines for a hole made by wings3D 1.5.3 and export to VRML 2.0

I cannot understand / see the problem.
I suggest you try open the model with another software: FreeCAD and/or blender and see how they are rendering the models.
I know some models generated by Wings3D dont have all correct triangles in order. Maybe you need to check that.

You can now use other softwares do make models. KiCAD now supports VRML V1, VRML V2 and X3D ... but only a subset of the format! Keep it in mind! Not all features are supported.

I tried see my VRML model of TO264 by FreeCAD, TO264 resine serface is
mono tone good.
but, resent Kicad(BZR5110 and updated its) 3Dviewer display multi tone
at single flat serface. Is it bug?
Can you see tezukuri-amp (=japanese home made-amp)
Flat surface of transistor TO-264 that are under portion of PCB was
displayed multi tone (multi brightness:near hole is white and under part
is dark gray) at No. 728
But older version of kicad good. The surfacees that upper portion of PWB
are mono tone (same gray color ) at No.724

I was not able to decide myself if there is any issue with KiCad render.
KiCad now have some rendering options. If you select "smooth" it will render much like the same as FreeCAD.
The model itself is a bit stranger.
You can also try to remove the "Normal" information from the model file:
normalPerVertex TRUE
normal Normal { vector [ ....
normalIndex [...
Other options will be open with Blender and export it to X3D.
Can you help with this problem?
