Not able to add one dialog box for all components

Asked by kunal keshwani

I want to add more properties for all components using only one dialog box(by making it dynamic)...I have made and implemented it for all components
but it is showing same property names for all components(all components have different properties) ,since it is not able to differentiate between different components.
I am not able to get that how components are differentiated in kicad , using which criteria... and if done using by giving unique ID's to all the components , then where it is done and How???
Here I am stating sine, resistor, capacitor, gates as different components.
Please tell me...about this.

Maybe I have not got the question correctly but properties in eeschema don't work in that way.
You can add up to 8 common names in the 'Template Field Names' to be proposed as default in *all* components.
Of course you can add others both in the 'Field properties' dialog of the component editor and in the component properties for each single instance. Each component also gets as defaults the non-empty properties from the library when created.

Can you help with this problem?
