A new killer feature I've recently found out in EAGLE 6.3

Asked by Peter Slupski

Hello,
I'm still new to KiCAD Developers, but there's a feature in Eagle 6.3 I'd like to share with you guys -
- upon typing in a part designator, the part immediately shows up under the cursor in a "moving" state.

Consider: the parts are in their initial positions, and the user simply checks the schematic, types in a designator - and the part is placed under the current position of the cursor.

As far as I'm concerned, it's brilliant. Is there a branch with the feature I've mentioned?

Thank you very much for your time,
Sincerely, Piotr

It seems to me like the 'T'ake key...

(T) key for search, then OK (enter).

If just typing, that is not gonna happen since kicad use key for keyboard shorcut. While on eagle, key is used for typing on command bar.
