@yogi - I expanded on this in #51. Sorry for the duplication.

 1. I documented the rename we were discussing in #50.

 2. I'm not sure which use case will be the most common. I can see different back-end stores supporting or preferring one over the other. So maybe we create those attributes (`global` and `default` as extensions on endpoint-templates).
