The install using deb is not working with 16.04. What to do?

It seems that this package is not maintained any more.
There is an old question document about failing installation on Ubuntu 12.04 https://answers.launchpad.net/keryx/+question/203574 and I assume that Ubuntu 16.04 shows a similar problem.

What is the exact problem or error when you try installing on Ubuntu 16.04?

When the software centre starts to install , it begins then ends with no
error message.

What is the output of the commands (to be executed in a terminal window)

uname -a
lsb_release -crid
apt-cache policy keryx

If you have the .deb file locally, what is the output of

dpkg --simulate --install keryx_1.0-public21_all.deb

(adapt the file name if necessary)
