installation

Asked by xxtjaxx

Hi,

I just happen to stumble upon your application. I tried compiling it with qmake didnt work. I tried using CMake which worked fine now. I looked at some of the thing in your icons/images dirs. Except for the kdocker image the other thing are in a normal desktop icon theme now so I would like to see these images dumped lighten up the package as a hole port it to kde4 cmake and support KIcon/QIcon which does the icon trick thanks to porting the
iconsystem to freedesktop I worked now probably 3 hours on it (2 hours just for figuriong iout the -lXmu quirk and some bad includes). I will post a patch soon .

Cheers,

Andreas Marschke.

I don't see a reason to move to CMake as the current qmake build system works fine. I don't know why you are having issues with it but Arch Linux has a working package and I'm able to build on Ubuntu without issue. This would also create an unnecessary dependency.

I also have no desire to port it to KDE 4. KDocker is a Qt application and does not rely on KDE in any way. I believe requiring a few hundred MB of dependencies (KDE 4) is a benefit to removing a few KB of icon files. Especially seeing as how I don't use KDE and would rather not have to install it just for dynamic icons.

Can you help with this problem?
