Yes please open a terminal from applications->Accessories->Terminal and type:

sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop

give your user password when requested, you don't see nothing when you type it, then press enter.

Then at login, before to write your user and password, you can select session type just from login window.

Hope this helps

You may also do this from the Synaptic Package Manage which can be found by going to, System -> Administration -> Synaptic Package Manager. Type in Kubuntu or KDE and install the Kubuntu-Desktop version. After it installs you can choose between either the Gnome desktop environment or the KDE desktop environment through the login window.

Can you help with this problem?
