when I choose to select an area of the screen, the entire screen is greyed out so I can't see what I'm selecting.

When I choose to select an area of the screen to record, the entire screen gets greyed out so I can't see what i'm selecting. In the middle of the screen are the directions to select the area to be recorded. Is this a glitch or am I doing something wrong?

Hi Doug,

Indeed, Kazam makes use of compositing to render the background transparent.
With compositing disabled, a grey screen will be rendered.

Can you help with this problem?
