App Does Not Open

On Raspberry Pi 3

Step 1: Go to https://launchpad.net/kazam

Step 2: Click the green rectangle under Downloads which says kazam-1.4.5.tar.gaz

Step 3: Download initiates

Step 4: Open command line

Step 5: sudo apt-get install kazam

Step 6: Lots of words on the command line...reading package list...building dependency tree...(Setting Up Kazam 1.4.5-1)...

Step 7: Click Raspberry at top left of screen

Step 8: New menu "Sound and Video" has appeared

Step 9: Hover over "Sound and Video"

Step 10: Kazam app appears

Step 11: Click app

Step 12: Nothing happens.

Where am I going wrong here?
