Code / License query

Asked by P Mutha

Hello Richard/Team,

I was thinking of using JQuantLib library. I have few questions regarding the same.

Licensing : I understand that it's not actively developed right now. Can I ( and my company ) fork out from git repository and develop features specific to our requirements on top of the library ?

Interest calculation : What is the support for interest calculation in the library ( different types of formulas, amortization,... ) ?

Looking forward to your response .

Thanks and regards,
Pratik

JQuantLib is BSD, which is a permissive license. You can modify it, contribute back your modifications if you wish or not contribute back anything; you can create commercial products from JQuantLib directly with or without your modifications.

Unfortunately, JQuantLib is dormant for a long time, without plans to be revived anytime soon. Similarly, is my memory in regards to its code and functionalities.

Kind Regards,
