Jisko v3 seems to be the most reliable but not well-known as
StatusNet. Jisko is prepared to handle high traffic without any
issues, something we've been improving from its begins. But hey, we
don't have benchmarks, so I can't show you any objective information
about that (and less about which is better - both are options, and
people are here to choose one of them, diversity is not bad).

Thanks Ruben,

am confused which one to use :-) that's why am asking, i have installed status net but its very hard to customize, on the other hand is fully loaded with options and plugins, also have API for its services etc... its becoming more like twitter, and when it grows a bit bigger it can use sphinx to search with and stuff like that

if you can help out that would be nice :-)

what about your support and stuff like that?

v3 has a twitter-like API, like StatusNet. We made a search engine for
v2 but doesn't use sphinx.

Well, to be honest, StatusNet started after us, but they got lot of
funds from investors, and we don't have that advantage. It's also a
drawback to live in Spain, where startups are so bad.

What I mean to say? They have more than two teenagers with free time
who code for the rest of the world. We're competitive, and so many
people prefer us than StatusNet, however, we lack in some parts that
we guess are not so important to have, in order to have a lightweight
open-source microblogging.

Whatever, you can submit any idea you have to us and we'll study, we
promise. But we also believe in Jisko as a very good project and nice
deadline, so stay tuned, v3 will be kinda revolutionary!

Cheers

Thanks for your honesty,

is there like a page where it list all features you have now included?
i wanted to start something like twitter but for the middle east area, that's why am comparing between yours and status.net both of you are more stable than other scripts, i think their only edge now is they have plug ins section and people who are building that for them :-) kind of like wordpress community

Sorry... there isn't...

Yes, the reason why Laconica has a lot of support it's that they have a very good community around them.

Now it's your turn to decide what microblogging system are you going to use :)

Thanks for your interest in Jisko!

Can you help with this problem?
