does it run on Opera ?

Asked by Tomek Kaczanowski

I tried to view the presentation (I found one example here: http://screencasters.heathenx.org/wp-content/uploads/JessyInk.svg) using Opera 10.10 on Windows and all I saw was the first slide. Key navigation did not work.

Does it mean that the JessyInk presentations can't be viewed with Opera ?

Hi Tomek:

Thanks for your feedback! The short answer is: JessyInk usually works fine in Opera. Please try the latest version, which you can download using the link below. I just tested it in Opera 10.10 on Ubuntu and it worked. Should you still have problems, please let me know.

The long answer is: I just checked out the file you mentioned and, as you said, it does not work in Opera 10.10 (I tried it on Ubuntu). Since the podcast was recorded a while back, the file you indicated is still an early version of JessyInk, which might be the problem. As a general rule, I test JessyInk on Ubuntu in Firefox, Chrome and Opera and make sure it works in all three of them. I usually use the current versions of the mentioned browsers, but I seldomly test more than one version. Since I don't have access to other operating systems and usually don't have time to test on several different versions of a browser, I have to rely on the wider community for more extensive testing. Therefore, I very much appreciate your question. As mentioned above, should your problems persist, please get back to me and I'll to come up with a fix.

I hope you enjoy JessyInk!

Cheers,
Hannes
