Do you plan on supporting IE with the Renesis plugin?

Asked by Gwen Epstein

While I certainly prefer using FireFox / Opera / Chrome or anything other than Internet Explorer.... I would like to be able to make sure that my learning materials (I'm a technical writer) also display in IE. :)

I have been using the Renesis svg viewer plugin with IE (Renesis 1.1.1 from http://www.examotion.com/).
I'm happy with it in terms of displaying static SVG.

It would be great to see JessyInk work with that combination: IE and Renesis. Though I imagine it would take some bit of work to get the Microsoft Jscript to work (?)

Any plans or thoughts in that arena?

Thanks,
-- Gwen

Hi Gwen,

I completely agree with you: it would be great, if JessyInk also worked in IE using one of the available SVG plug-ins. At the moment, I don't have a machine running Windows, so I can't test JessyInk in IE. However, I hope that someone in the community will take up this task and I will be more than happy to incorporate any changes required into future releases. What I can do at the moment is to create a blueprint for this issue, so that it will not be forgotten.

Thanks for the contribution!

Cheers,
Hannes

Sounds great Hannes... thanks for the idea of creating a blueprint so good ol' IE with Renesis won't be forgotten. :)
