Hi,

I am glad to hear that you liked JessyInk. Here are the steps that worked for me to add PNG images to presentations:

1) Open the SVG image (presentation) in Inkscape.
2) Select "Import" form the "File" menu.
3) Choose the image and click "open".
4) Move, scale and otherwise manipulate the image to your liking.
5) Select "Images/Embed All Images" from the "Effects" menu.
6) Hit "Apply".
7) Save the document.
8) Open the SVG image (presentation) in FireFox.

This procedure worked for me with JPGs and PNGs in Safari, FireFox and Opera on OSX and with FireFox on Windows. The crucial part is to embed the images. If not, they are not displayed if you distribute your presentation of move the original image file. If you edit the demo presentation, make sure you unlock the layers (the small padlock in the layers dialog needs to be open). If the layer is locked the image might end up on the "root" layer and will be displayed on top of the whole presentation.

I hope this information will be of use to you. If you continue to have trouble, fell free to post another question.

Cheers,
Hannes

Hi,

thank you for the answer. I just didn't known that images could be embedded into SVG. It of course solves everything.
