possibility of slideshow...

Asked by bernard_almar

Bonjour,

I ask the same question do you think that it's possible to make a slideshow with Jessyink...( I wait since 06/2011, ;-)).

Your extension is very useful.
Thanks for your work.

I am afraid the status is still unchanged. It is definitely possible to patch JessyInk in a way to allow slideshows that advance automatically, but there is currently no easy way for users to do so.

You might try making it into a video by recording your screen while advancing through your file.

A possible way:

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/31151399/dev/JessyInk/JessyInk_1_5_5_showcase_JoelinioSlideShow1Time.svg

I've changed the svg file with an editor. Searching for 'slide show' will jump to the new lines.

One thing that I haven't found out yet is how to get the number of effects of a slide.. (The last number in the adressbar of the browser: eg: filename.svg#12_3 --> the number 3)

In these svg-files the navigation back is also a little bit changed for tablets.. (https://answers.launchpad.net/jessyink/+question/120952)

Thanks a lot for the contribution!

There are two things I noticed: I did not find a key to stop the slide show again. Is this something that you considered? Also, the slides were advanced after a given interval of time no matter how long a transition or effect took. I don't think that that's a big problem in real life as people can just adjust the length of effects accordingly. I just wanted to ask whether you thought about that.

As to your question about the number of effects: There is a slide array ("slides") containing information about each slide. On of the pieces of information is an array of effects on the slide. The maximum index of this array is the number of effects on the slide. So that would be "slides[counter]["effects"].length"

Can you help with this problem?
