Question on next releass and stability

Asked by ErikZap

Hi JessyInk developer,

I really love Jessyink and use it a lot - it's fantastic, and thanks for the great work! Since I am currently still using Jessyink 1.5 (at least I think), I am wondering
- when the next stable release is going to be launched?

- or else, is the v2 alpha version stable enough for everyday use?

Thanks,
E

Hi:

Thanks a lot for your feedback and question. I am glad to hear that you find JessyInk useful!

As for your question: you have probably noticed from my delay in answering your question that, lately, I don't get to spend nearly as much time on JessyInk as I would like and as it would require to have a decent release circle.

Give the limited resources, I decided to limit changes in Version 1 of JessyInk to important bug fixes.

Version 2 is mainly a reimplementation. Therefore, most of the code is directly taken from JessyInk v1. In as far, I would say the code is somewhat tested. However, I have been in discussion (yet to be made public) with people about changing the way the interface works. Hence, there might still be some changes.

Cheers,
Hannes
