LaunchPad configuration

Asked by Gatt

Hi, I'd like to setup LaunchPad's bug tracker as follows, can anyone tell me if this is possible or give me permissions to do it?

1. Default assignee for a new bug should be me.
2. Default view of bugs should should who raised it.
3. It shouldn't be possible to raise a bug anonymously (perhaps I'm just not looking in the right place).
4. I would like to be able to define test cycles (milestones?) and assign bugs to those milestones for scheduling purposes.

Just to add to this, I created a new LaunchPad project just to see what kind of features were available as a project owner and it appears that what I see is what i get. I'm happy to persevere with it for now but would anyone have any objection to using a different tool (e.g. pivotaltracker.com or other)?

Gatt.

Answers below:

1. Default assignee for a new bug should be me.

Working on this one.

2. Default view of bugs should should who raised it.

This would be nice, but it shouldn't impede bug tracking or development. I'll see if there's a way we can change the default layout to include that column.

3. It shouldn't be possible to raise a bug anonymously (perhaps I'm just not looking in the right place).

This is not possible (just tested). You have to log in to perform this functionality.

4. I would like to be able to define test cycles (milestones?) and assign bugs to those milestones for scheduling purposes.

This is possible with LaunchPad (Branches). We can create branches of code and target them for future dated releases. We can also target Bugs and Blueprints to a branch of code.
