What happened to git18 package?

Asked by Alex Pogrebnyak

When I go to http://dl.iuscommunity.org/pub/ius/stable/CentOS/6/x86_64/, I no longer see git18 package.

I see old packages in archive portion of the site at http://dl.iuscommunity.org/pub/ius/archive/CentOS/6/x86_64/.

Is git18 discontinued?

Hey Alex,

The git18 packages are now EOL. Please see the following thread from the mailing list:

Any plans for git21, then?

Thanks,

Howdy Alex,

We hadn't initially planned to do a new release, especially since we didn't get any feedback on the mailing list. However, you can always submit a request and we will evaluate it as a new package. Since git only supports the latest version, we would probably only consider a package tied to 2.x.x. (git2u) as opposed to our traditional 2.1.x style (git21u).
