Upgrade to mysql 5.6.12

Asked by sibidas

Hi Team,

I want to upgrade my current version of mysql 5.5.31 to mysql 5.6.x. I am running 5.9 centos on the server. When will the package 5.6.x available for centos 5.9 ? I can see the rpm mysql 5.6.10 released for centos6 but not for centos5. Please clarify.

Thanks,
Sibi S

Hello Sibi,

Thanks for contacting IUS. Currently, we do have mysql56 in the development repos for RHEL and CentOS 6, but those packages are not ready for production. At this time we do not plans on developing any mysql56 packages for RHEL and CentOS 5 due to their old versions of openssl.
