How to listen to Channel.MessageReceived event

Asked by andris vi on 2011-09-02

So i was trying to join to a channel like this:

Connect.Channels.Join(Tuple.Create("#HomeTree", "1234"))

but this does not return the channel object which is instantiated, upon joining the object gets added to the Connect.Channels collection but i dont know when because it does not raises any event (like i dunno: JoinedChannel perharps?) so i cannot add an event handler to the Connect.Channels(0) object and since i cant handle the raised event i cant listen to the channel.MessageReceived event.

I can only use the MessageReceived event if i wait long enough to be sure that the channel has been joined so i can call Connect.Channels(0) without getting a NullReferenceException...

How could i listen to its event or be sure when does the channel gets joined?
