Where to find premade graphics to import?

Asked by Mike3333

I am looking for clipart or premade graphics to import. Specifically I am looking for basic symbols fo creating schematics of Water or Wastewater treatment plants. Where can I find premade graphics to import?

Thanks for any help.

dia, the application, has sets of schematic symbols for various uses - I just "sudo apt-get install"-ed and find there's "pneumatic / hydraulic" and "Civil" (includes things like "aerator", "vertically aligned propeller") and "ChemEng" (includes things like "mixer", "valve", "injector", etc.). Looks like your best option. You can put all the items into a sheet and export them as SVG then you'll have them in Inkscape ... don't forget to check the license and then post them up online for others to use!

Also http://www.everystockphoto.com/ allows search based on licenses (eg CC-BY) as does Google now and probably other places too which you can search via http://search.creativecommons.org/ .

I want to sincerely thank you both, Oleg Koptev and pbhj. I will check out all four of the mentioned sources. I am very interested in dowloading Dia software!
