libgc problem in installing inkscape 0.47 in Mandriva Linux 2009 Spring

Asked by Fiable.biz

As far as I know, for the moment, no major stable Linux distribution includes Inkscape 0.47 . I tried to installed it on Mandriva Linux 2009 Spring by launching configure. I had to install a few packages included in the distribution. But now, I get a long list of check, whose lines usually finish by " yes", but, at the end:
"checking for png.h... yes
checking for shl_load in -ldld... no
checking for dlopen... no
checking for dlopen in -ldl... yes
checking gc.h usability... yes
checking gc.h presence... yes
checking for gc.h... yes
checking for GC_init in -lgc... no
checking for GC_malloc in -lgc... no
checking for GC_realloc in -lgc... no
checking for GC_free in -lgc... no
configure: error: libgc (the Boehm Conservative Collector) 6.4+, is needed to compile inkscape -- http://www.hpl.hp.com/personal/Hans_Boehm/gc
"

libgc-devel-7.1 and libgc1-7.1 ARE installed on my computer. What to do?
I also tried to install the rpm package for Mandriva 2010, but then there is a quite long list of dependencies absent from Mandriva 2009 Spring.

Is this possibly a regression of
Bug #166740 in Inkscape: “-ldl missing in configure check libgc”?
<https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/166740>

…or does this solution apply to your issue as well?

(Note: these are results of bug tracker and web searches - I don't know more about configuring Inkscape on Mandriva)

Can you help with this problem?
