shutting down and missing files

Here's the thing, when I start inkscape, everything is fine and all, but after maybe 20 minutes it will shut down. I save the project many times before it shuts down, but when I look for it to finish it, it's gone! where could it have gone, and is there a way to stop it from shutting down so much? I have Windows Vista if it matters...

Hi,

The missing files bug is a bit weird. Is it a reproducible behavior?

As for the crash, there are some reports about it in the bug tracker.
Could you please take a look at this list and tell us if one of the report is relevant to your bug?
